  • Spring 2021 move-in will occur January 17 and 18. Students will be emailed an assigned check-in time based on the last two digits of their student ID number (A0#).

Continue to check your TXST email for more information.

  • Check-in for returning students will be conducted as a “drive-through” process. Returning students will drive to parking lot P-9, located between Bobcat Stadium and the University Events Center, where attendants will be verifying student test information at their vehicle.

Be sure to bring your student ID, as well as, your COVID-19 test results. Test results can be provided via a printout or your cell phone.

  • Students who have been tested January 11 or later and receive a positive test result are asked to stay home to isolate. Students who have tested positive will need to report to Bobcat Trace and send our office an email letting us know about their isolation.

Students who have had a positive COVID-19 test between October 20, 2020, and January 6, 2021, are not required to re-test but will have to provide evidence of the positive test.

  • Students who are unable to obtain a COVID-19 test prior to arriving in San Marcos, will need to make temporary housing arrangements until a test result can be obtained.

Many hotels are available in the San Marcos area for those that may need temporary lodging. Limited quarantine spaces may be available on campus for those who cannot find other options for temporary lodging.

For students who had difficulty getting a test and do not have a result, we will have Curative testing (results typically received in 24-48 hours) available on campus on Monday, January 18, as well as a limited number of rapid tests (results received in 1-2 hours) on Sunday and Monday, January 17 and 18, respectively. However, we cannot guarantee that everyone who might want a rapid test will be able to get one due to limited availability.

  • Students that return after January 18, 2021, are required to show their test results to the front desk of their residence hall or Bobcat Village Apartment before gaining access to their room.
