Moving In and Getting Settled

Move-In Guide

The university operates a centralized move-in process at Strahan Coliseum. Our office expects approximately 6,000 students to move in during August. Please follow our guidelines:

How To Address Mail & Packages

Report to Strahan Coliseum (not your assigned hall) at your assigned arrival time (found below). Be prepared to show your Texas State ID and Move-In Ticket. (Exception: Bobcat Village residents should report to that facility to check in.)

Students arriving prior to their assigned time will not be allowed to check in.

If you arrive on your assigned day but miss your assigned time, you may check in at the Coliseum between 4:30 – 5:00 p.m. or at your assigned hall between 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Please do not ship personal items to your hall before move-in.
