Continuing and Non-Required Transfer Students ONLY—Who Have Submitted a Housing Contract
The Department of Housing and Residential Life staff is working diligently to meet the increased demand for on-campus housing. To ensure we are able to provide housing to all first-time incoming freshman, we have created the following option for continuing and non-required transfer students to accommodate more Bobcats:
If you are a Texas State continuing student or incoming transfer student who is not required to live on campus, but you currently have a housing contract for fall 2018—we are offering a one-time, limited opportunity to cancel your housing contract and receive a $500.00 incentive to live off-campus. In addition, your $300 housing pre-payment (if you made one) will be refunded. Please do not sign a lease until you have received written approval through the instruction process.
This is an opportunity for you to assist freshmen students who need the intentional support that on-campus living provides. Our off-campus living staff can assist you in locating off-campus housing accommodations. Here is a link to their website information: Off-Campus Living. Feel free to reach out via telephone at 512-245-5595.
This is a very limited first-come, first-served opportunity for Texas State continuing and incoming transfer students only. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday, July 25, 2018, if you would like to take advantage of this offer. If you prefer to remain on campus for fall 2018/spring 2019, no action is required on your part.
We appreciate your willingness to consider our offer, but we also understand if you choose not to take advantage of this. However, please also note that if you are no longer planning to attend Texas State University, please contact our office to cancel your housing contract; if you are not planning to attend and wish to cancel your contract, your prepayment will also be refunded.
If you have any questions, please contact our office via telephone at 512-245-2382.
