Psychology Learning Community


Students majoring or minoring in Psychology are encouraged to participate in the Psychology Learning Community.  The Psychology Learning Community will enhance the student’s experience at Texas State by creating a strong connection between classroom learning and the living environment. Students in the learning community will cultivate close and productive relationships with others dedicated to psychology, as well as gain further knowledge of important principles and career paths in psychology.  

Events
Out of class events could include study sessions, faculty-sponsored events such as “How We Pick Our Mate,” job shadowing, and suicide prevention training. Students may also get involved in one our student organizations

Co-enrolled Courses
In the fall, students co-enroll in PSY 1300 (Introduction to Psychology) and in the spring, students co-enroll in PSY 3300 (Lifespan Development). 

Faculty
Psychology faculty members who are involved in the Learning Community include Dr. Alex Nagurney and Dr. Crystal Oberle. The Psychology Learning Community is housed in College Inn.
